At First I could not find a 2 5/8" tachnometer that would fit. So I tried to use the stock tach. I took it apart and painted it white with black lettering, and a red pointer. Well, I must have broken the tach during the process, it was very irratic.
The problem was Autometer only made one 2 5/8" tach, it was not the same color. With long searchs on the internet, I found a 2 5/8" Tach, white with Black leters and a red pointer. It was made by SunPro. New problem, it was designed for mounting on the column, and it didn't have a red light option.
- So I took it apart.
- Made a mount for behind my dash
- Glued a Red cover over the light
- The final outcome was GREAT!
- I was much happier

I don't have a picture of the dash at night with the new tachometer.
So this will have to do, nice huh?!
