My SubWoofer Enclosure

     I wanted a cool stereo but didn't want to use up any space inside my Bronco.  So I had to put stuff in places that were not being used.  Subwoofers always need room, and I had a rear tire carrier I wasn't using.  This is the finished product, best finished look anywhere!  It only uses the corner behind the wheel well in cargo space, I wanted maximum performance without sacraficing space.  I started by making cardboard templets of the inner quarter pannel, construction took 1 week of 10 hour days, but I think it was well worth it.

A picture of what I origanally bought; bone stock interior tire carrier before the subwoofer box.

Below you can see a cirled bumb in the inner quarter panel I had to remove for the box to fit  I hit it  with a hammer until flush to allow the box to seat properly.

I had to put bolts into the inner quarter panel from the outside.
This took lots of work and a steady hand to reach up there from the above the rear tire.  These hold the box inplace.

Measurements of the front panel.  This matches the angle of the closed tailgate, and the back seat when upright.

Bottom view of the box, shows some of the complex angles:

Back view of the box, this shows how it fits agianst the rear corner near the tailgate:

Top view of the back.
Notice the notce to make it fit flush agianst the inner quarter panel;
while still filling in the top perfectly by the side window.
also notice the 4 holes wich alow it to be bolted to the side.

Here you can see the studs on the inner quarter pannel that the box attaches to:

I mounted my Apms under the rear seat.  They flip with the seat using up no cargo space.
It does get warm under there, but niether amp has ever over heated.

Inside view, thanks for looking
